  • Cadets Honored by Headquarters U.S. Air Force for Material Degradation Research
    Headquarters U.S. Air Force has recognized six U.S. Air Force Academy cadets for their investigation into how well one type of bacteria slows crack growth in an aircraft aluminum. The cadets' one-year project formed part of a Corrosion Office-sponsored program conducted at the university's Center for Aircraft Structural Life Extension (CAStLE).

  • CorrSim Computer Game Takes Top Honors in 2012
    An award-winning computer simulation game sponsored by the DoD Corrosion Office and produced by GSG Systems and Bruno White Entertainment has been selected as a finalist in the National Training Systems Association's Serious Games Showcase & Challenge competition. CorrSim challenges students to learn how to protect corrosion on man-made structures. (Read More...)

  • Course Funding Available for Military Corrosion Specialists
    The DoD Corrosion Office continues to fund tuition costs for personnel in the DoD acquisition community. This article spotlights a variety of courses that come with a tuition reimbursement for qualifying applicants.
